What’s for dinner?

Stuck for cooking ideas when on the road? Celebrity TV chef Derek Robertson (Derek the Chef) will be on hand at the Covi SuperShow demonstrating how to prepare simple yet delicious meals using limited cooking facilities.

A regular on Gone Fishin TV Show, Derek believes that just because storage and cooking resources may be restricted in a motorhome or caravan, that doesn’t mean dinner is beans on toast … again!

“It doesn’t have to be like that! There are plenty of really delicious and simple-to-cook meals using fresh local kiwi produce that’s readily available while on the go,” says Derek.

And he speaks from experience. “My family and I love to go away in our caravan and certainly don’t compromise when it comes to dinner. We enjoy meeting new people, both kiwis and overseas visitors, but can’t help notice that people lack ideas for dinner.”

As well as serving up tasty motorhome-friendly samples for all to try, Derek is planning to display a range of cooking items, including smokers and bbq accessories, which will be available to purchase at the Covi SuperShow. Derek is on stand 181, Hall 1.
